ATA to host quarterly manager forums for the Hunter/Central Coast Region

In 2009 Industry & Investment NSW initiated quarterly forums for contact centre managers to promote the contact centre industry in the Hunter and Central Coast Regions. The aim was to allow for exchange of information and experiences to help sustain the contact centre industry. In 2010, these forums will continue and will be co-ordinated by the Australian Teleservices Association.

As part of the initiative Industry & Investment NSW also worked with the regions and the ATA to produce flyers about careers in the Contact Centre Industry.

The Hunter Region has a strong contact centre community with over 35 centres ranging in size from 6 to 260 seats. The contact centres are a mix of private and public sector organisations and cover industry sectors including financial services, insurance, government services, health, tourism/hospitality, consumer sales and service. This diversity provides for a range of career opportunities within the region.
